There’s a saying we follow around here, “Buy once, cry once” and it’s true about anything stamped with the Geissele name. Geissele undoubtedly pumps out some of the highest quality firearms parts in the industry.
The Geissele Automatics Super Modular Rail (SMR) MK4 is an incredibly durable AR-15 free float handguard with some unique features. You will notice a full-length m1913 Picatinny rail runs the entirety of the top of the handguard while small Picatinny rail sections sit on the front of the handguard at the 3, 6, and 9 O’Clock positions.
Further increasing the modularity of this rail is the use of M-LOK slots in the same orientation as the small Picatinny rail sections, and again full-length M-LOK slots located on the upper 45 quadrants. The rail is made from 6061-T6 aluminum with a hard coat anodized finish. The proprietary barrel nut can only be installed with a Geissele barrel nut wrench which is sold separately.
